Funerals are probably one of the most traumatic periods in any family’s life. Not only are you in deep mourning for that loved one that you’ve lost, but also some or all of you may have to organise the funeral for that person.
The most important first step is to appoint a Funeral Director. Ask around, get recommendations, a really good funeral director will make this time much easier by guiding you through the process and taking an awful lot of weight off your shoulders.
You always have choice of venue and choice of minister.
In the funerals I have had the honour to celebrate since starting out as a Freelance Minister I have found greatly increased freedoms in the way that the funeral service is conducted. You, the family and friends are in charge of what happens - I am simply there to guide you through it and conduct the service.
Whether you want a full religious service, or a more family orientated service with a small amount of prayer and reflection I am able to adapt the service to your needs.
